Accommodation

If you wish to experience sustainable-minded rural life with us, we are happy to offer you an accommodation through Airbnb.

Stay with us through Airbnb!

Our house is a big and old famhouse with 150 years’ history, located in countryside of Kyoto – beautiful mountainous rural village called Keihoku, where Katsura river begins. You can enjoy swimming in river with pristine water and sweet-water fish in summer and sleighing and making snowman or snowlady in fluffy snow in winter! Our village is located in the area which was designated as Quasi-National Parks by Japanese government recently!

Keihoku is the area flourished for its forestry and timber producing. It’s been providing proudly very-qualified ceder and Japanese cypress timbers to the ancient capital Kyoto since it’s foundation in 8th Century (Kyoto capital was founded in 794 A.C.).

Although it is located very close to Kyoto city center, Keihoku still preserves its beautiful and rural landscape and atmosphere with running paddy fields which remind “Japanese traditional landscape”. Unfortunately many of those rural landscapes have disappeared after the WW2.

The house is big enough to accommodate around 20 people at once, or even more in case you bring your sleeping bags, and thus suitable for an overnight workshops of student groups who wish to experience organic farming or rural living.

The price is negotiable for groups, especially for student groups.
